Aggression is an act intentionally performed to hurt someone. Aggression can be found in many different forms. Some people think that aggression is generally frowned upon in our society. However, aggressive sports like boxing, MMA, football, rugby, etc... permeate our culture. This might suggest that some aggressive actions are in fact encouraged by our society.

Therefore much study has been done in order to understand different aspects of aggression: what causes aggression, are certain people more prone to being aggressive, is aggression psychical or mental, what role does our environment play, are we taught to be aggressive, should we learn how to control our aggression, and many others.
